Our holiday decorations this year are hand made by Be Sweet, a women’s collective in South Africa. This job creation program brings economic opportunity to struggling families and communities to improve their current standard of living. The Xhosa women in the East Cape are now able to support their families and have learned empowering skills that will enable them to raise above primitive living conditions.
Be Sweet is also giving back to their community by donating a portion of profits to the local school. Visit the Upstairs to see the wonderful creations made by Walunbu, Milia, Wolutando, Phumla, Kangelwa and Zwkeswe, our Be Sweet ladies.
