Cozy Fall Accessories

Fall is my favorite season! Not because the air turns crisp and clean and not because the leaves change but I finally get to start wearing my favorite cashmere sweaters and accessories. There is nothing like throwing on a couple extra layers to keep you from getting chilled.

Upstairs at Pierre Lafond has introduced some great new products this fall. V.Room is a new Japanese line of women’s loungewear. Blended with cashmere and cotton, these cozy pieces will keep you be warm all day long.

We love the idea of the boyfriend sweater so much that we actually decided to put some of our men’s sweaters in the women’s department. Machay has a great baby alpaca sweater that is getting rave reviews from everyone. What a perfect piece to throw on while strolling on the beach or grabbing a cup of tea.

Repeat Cashmere has been a tried and true for holiday gifts. We just got in several types of scarves, cashmere slippers, hot water bottle covers, berets and throw blankets in assorted colors.

Karen Bezuidenhout Paintings

Upstairs is happy to have Karen Bezuidenhout as one of our employees as well as our esteemed resident artist. We just bombarded her studio for a fresh crop of paintings small and large for your enjoyment, along with some personal purchases for the staff.

Karen’s earthy palette - chocolate browns, ochre, olive, deep blues and burnt reds - are drawn from the South African upbringing.  She has also incorporated her inspiration from the beach in some of her more recent paintings with rich blues and turquoise.  Much of what she paints today - landscapes, horses, rolling hills, beaches and shanty houses are available for Upstairs. Visit her website for a more in depth look at her most current work, www.karenbezuidenhout.com.

See Upstairs for details. 805-565-1503, Email.
