Global Eye Photography: Destination Greece, Volume 1

Summer is here and it’s time to travel. Our friends at Global Eye Photography agreed to take some of our merchandise on a trip to Greece and give us a report. Here’s what they had to say about adventuring with our gear:

Product: Patagonia’s Morning Glory Dress $65.00, Women’s travel and lounge department.

We have driven directly into a late summer storm. We can see where the rain falls in heavy, huge drops ahead of us on the road as we wind through the mountains, curving through the pine forests and fields. We spotted a tortoise crossing the road, almost halfway on a particularly nasty curve.

Michael slowed and I jumped out of the car, ran across, grabbed the tortoise and sailed to the other side. Michael had to keep driving as a semi barreled down behind him but he called “I’ll pick you up!” through the window.

I began to run down the highway edge to get out of the turn, but after this turn was another then another. My traveling dress was completely soaked. A few twists ahead I saw a police car, lights blazing, coming at me.

I was still clutching my road map that I’d had when we spotted the tortoise, so I tucked him inside the map and under my arm. When Michael pulled up beside me my heart was thumping. I got in the car and put my tortoise parcel on my lap. “Why did you wrap him?” Michael wanted to know, “I saw a cop, and I didn’t want him to see the tortoise.

The last thing we need is a poaching arrest. “ I said. We drove down the road further until we found a suitable turnout. I ran down the embankment and put the tortoise in the safety of a little valley near a field of corn. I jumped back in the car and was dry in no time, looking just as perfect as I possibly could. -Kristen Cramer, Global Eye Photography.
